Taking a Bite Out of Toronto

As many of you know I’m a fan of Bite Beauty’s lipsticks. I have written articles featuring Bite as well as posting to social media every time Elena and I visit their NYC Soho Lip Lab. Finally the Lip Lab has come home to Toronto where Bite Beauty was founded by Canadian Susan Langmuir in 2009.

Loosely based on the “you are what you eat” philosophy, all products are made with food grade ingredients and edible oils and are free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals and phthalates.

Be forewarned: when you walk in, you will feel like a kid in a candy store!

The lab at the very back of the store is visible from the front door. There are jars in a variety of sizes filled with colorful pigments everywhere. Everyone’s decked out in lab coats.

This is how the lab works…

If you like to be original, love lipstick, and have a boner for scientific processes this place is for you! Firstly, choose from one of your favorite finishes: Amuse Bouche, Matte Creme, Glossy Sheer, or Luminous Creme. Next up, choose from over 100 shades, yes over 100 shades in the Bite labrary. Lastly, customize scent and flavor and voila, they will make a Bite lipstick in ten minutes right in front of your eyes.

Your Snapchat will be lit!

You can also pop in to buy your Bite staples from their full product line, including their new Multistick. This will be your new fave. Popular with makeup artists to moms to people like me that like a no fuss beauty routine. “Not only will it be valuable for my kit, Elena says, “but the average person on-the-go will love the convenience of having this three in one product that you can swipe across eyes, lips, and cheeks.” Elena picked up Biscotti and Mochi. “Perfect for mixing and matching.”
